The Iron Maidens Las Vegas Concert reviews
Aerosmith / ZZ Top
An uneven show overall. ZZ Top gave a full set during a co-headlining tour, heavy on the guitar. Billy Gibbons returned to the stage for a three-guitar jam with Brad Whitford and Joe Perry during The Iron Maidens' set, which was a highlight. Fiddler's has average sound at best, but didn't have great sound.
Something may have been up with Steven Tyler, who burped into the microphone at least once. Tyler also looked ridiculous in skintight silver glittery pants that would've looked much better on Sheryl Crow; he may have been on something or drunk.
Many songs were turned into extended guitar jams, and Perry even sang a lead on "Combination," a little-known gem from 'Rocks'. The P.A. on the 'green' (lawn seating) cut out for a minute or two during The Iron Maidens' set, also. This is completely unacceptable, and Fiddler's needs to improve the sound at the back of the house.
My personal favorite: Joe Perry playing the Heil Talkbox on "Walk this Way," just like on Live Bootleg.
